What We Believe

Friedens Lutheran Church offers a theologically conservative environment in which its members may worship. As proud members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), Friedens members enjoy following the teachings of the Reformation led by Martin Luther.

Our Beliefs

bullet  The Bible is the true and inspired message from God, right down to its words.
bullet  It is the only source and standard for Christian teaching and living.
bullet  We may have different opinions about many subjects, but we are to believe and follow all that the
      Bible teaches.
bullet  Jesus Christ is really God and really a man. Through His death on the cross He received the       punishment for our sins.
bullet  Jesus physically rose from the dead. He defeated death and proved He is God.
bullet  Forgiveness of sins and life in heaven are God's free gifts. All who believe in Jesus as their       personal Savior have those gifts.
bullet  Jesus Christ will return at the end of the world to judge all people. Believers in Him will live in heaven
      for eternity.

Our Purpose

As men, women and children united with faith in Christ, we follow His command to "go and make disciples." We, therefore, will proclaim God's Law and Gospel to one another, the community, and the world. We will teach God's truth to help each other grow in the faith and so serve Christ now and forever. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..." Matthew 28:19
